Our History

When giving a golf lesson to a young girl being treated at St. Jude almost 16 years ago, April Conrad’s life was forever changed. A passion ignited to do more for the hospital. The fire behind Hooked on a Cure smoldered for eight years, until April and her

husband, Will, devised the right formula for success. Utilizing their shared passion for the sport, their dream is that fly fishers will put forth their future conservation efforts not only to preserve resources for a future generation, but to preserve a very special part of a future generation.

Their favorite question to ask people who consider becoming involved with Hooked on a Cure is simple:

“What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?”
