Itinerary
| Sunday, August 29th – Arrival Day | |
| Afternoon | Guests arrive in Bozeman and are met by an Orvis travel representative and transferred to Lone Mountain Ranch. When you get to the lodge you will have the opportunity to get your Montana fishing license, unpack and settle in. Guests are free to arrive in Bozeman at any time, but it is recommended that you arrive before 6:00 PM to participate in the welcome reception and dinner. |
| 6:30 PM | Welcome reception and introductions at the main lodge with a brief overview of the week’s activities. Guests will be asked if they wish to participate in ½ day workshops the next day, or spend the entire day fishing with a guide. |
| 7:00 PM | Happy hour in the lodge’s saloon |
| 8:00 PM | Dinner is served in the dining room. Dinners are included in your package. |
| Evening | Relax in the main lodge saloon while getting to know the rest of the group. |
| Monday, August 30th – Seminar Day | |
| 7:00 AM | Breakfast service begins. Breakfasts are included in your package and are served in the lodge’s main dining room. |
| 8:00 AM | If you have elected to go fishing all day you will meet at the lodge’s Outdoor Shop where you will be paired up with another angler and introduced to your guide. |
| 9:00 AM | “Equipment Selection and Rigging” with Jason Elkins, Orvis Travel Fly Fishing Manager and former Montana trout guide |
| 10:00 AM | “Local Trout Food and Their Imitations” with Ennion Williams, General Manager and Outfitter, Lone Mountain Ranch |
| 10:30 AM | “Working More Effectively with Your Guide” with Jason Elkins, Orvis Travel |
| 11:00 AM | Casting clinic and practice with Jason Elkins and Lone Mountain Ranch guides |
| 12:00 Noon | Lunch will be served in the main lodge’s dining room for those guests participating in the workshops. Lunch will be taken in the field by those anglers who chose to fish all day. |
| 1:00 PM | Anglers that participated in the workshop will be paired up, 2 anglers per guide, for an afternoon of wade fishing on the Gallatin River or another area stream. |
| 6:00 PM | All anglers will return to the lodge. |
| 7:00 PM | Happy hour in the lodge’s saloon |
| 8:00 PM | Dinner is served in the lodge’s dining room. |
| Tuesday, August 31st – Fishing Day One / Float Trip | |
| 7:00 AM | Breakfast service begins in the lodge’s dining room. |
| 7:30 AM | Anglers meet at the lodge’s Outdoor Shop where they will be paired up and introduced to their guides, 2 anglers per guide. |
| 8:00 AM | Guides and anglers depart, half going to the Madison River, the other half going to the Yellowstone River. Either way, the trip includes a 1-1 ½ hour drive through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Rocky Mountains before arriving at the put-in. |
| TBA | Your guide will find a nice bend in the river for you to enjoy your lunch, perhaps while you relax under the shade of a cottonwood tree. |
| 6:30 PM | All anglers will return to the lodge. |
| 7:00 PM | Happy hour in the lodge’s saloon |
| 8:00 PM | Dinner is served in the lodge’s dining room. |
| Wednesday, September 1st – Fishing Day Two / Float Trip | |
| 7:00 AM | Breakfast service begins in the lodge’s dining room. |
| 7:30 AM | Anglers meet at the lodge’s Outdoor Shop where they will be paired up and introduced to their guides, 2 anglers per guide. |
| 8:00 AM | Depart the lodge. If you went to the Yellowstone River yesterday, you will be going to the Madison River today, and visa-versa. |
| TBA | Lunch in the field |
| 6:00 PM | Celebrity anglers arrive at Lone Mountain Ranch. |
| 6:30 PM | All anglers will return to the lodge. |
| 7:30 PM | Reception to introduce celebrity anglers and Hooked on a Cure founders, April and Will Conrad, in the main lodge. |
| 8:00 PM | Dinner is served in the lodge’s dining room. After dinner, anglers will be paired up and introduced to their celebrity for the following day. |
| Thursday, September 2nd – Fishing Day Three / With a celebrity | |
| 7:00 AM | Breakfast service begins in the lodge’s dining room. |
| 7:30 AM | Anglers meet at the lodge’s Outdoor Shop where they will be introduced to their guides, 2 anglers and one celebrity per guide. |
| 8:00 AM | Depart the lodge. The next two days will consist mostly of wade fishing on a variety of local rivers and streams, depending on conditions, angler ability and interests of the group. Each guide will discuss a plan with the anglers prior to leaving the lodge. |
| TBA | A nice stream-side lunch will be enjoyed in the field. |
| 6:00 PM | All anglers will return to the lodge. |
| 7:00 PM | Happy hour in the lodge’s saloon |
| 8:00 PM | Dinner is served in the lodge’s dining room. After dinner, anglers will be paired up and introduced to their celebrity angler for the next day. |
| Friday, September 3rd – Fishing Day Four / With a celebrity | |
| 7:00 AM | Breakfast service begins in the lodge’s dining room. |
| 7:30 AM | Anglers meet at the lodge’s Outdoor Shop where they will be paired up and introduced to their guides, 2 anglers and one celebrity per guide. |
| 8:00 AM | Depart the lodge with guides |
| TBA | A nice stream-side lunch will be enjoyed in the field. |
| 5:00 PM | All anglers will return to the lodge. |
| 6:30 PM | Presentation by Hooked on a Cure founder April Conrad |
| 7:00 PM | Charity auction begins. |
| 8:30 PM | BBQ dinner is served in traditional western outdoor setting. |
| Saturday, September 4th – Departure Day | |
| 7:00 AM | Breakfast service begins in the lodge’s dining room. |
| 11:00 AM |
Check-out from the lodge and transfer back to the airport in Bozeman in time to catch your flight. |
